I have suffered from a strange pain in both heels for well over a year. Have had CAT scan - nothing. Usual treatment is no help. Diagnosis is a mystery. The only thing that helps is a shoe insert which is studded with small plastic pins. I use the inserts all the time. I have little or no pain when the inserts are in use. Vendor of the inserts claims they work like reflexology. I am totally skeptical of reflexology. If the insert helps, would a trip to a reflexologist be appropriate?

One strange symptom is pain in both heels when I lie on my back but not when I lie on my stomach. What's that all about?

Thanking you in advance.
