Went to see the Dr today

Posted by Jane on 1/10/02 at 10:19 (069491)

Hey there!

I was on here a couple of days ago posting about possible TTS being caused from an injury. My foot is still numb so I went to my GP today. He told me that he has seen this happen before. He also said that it will usually go away on its own. He said give it two weeks and then come back to see him, if it hasn't. Has anyone ever posted here before about it going away on its own?

Thanks alot! This message board is a wonderful thing!

Jane~

What did he tell you to do for it? Did he not recommend a Podiatrist take a look at you? what did he say it came from?

My Dr told me that it probably occured from some way that I twisted my ankle while snowboarding. I really don't remember any significant twist of my ankle, but I'm sure it could be possible because of the terrain I ride. He told me that I could continue to ride (I'm a snowboard instructor) and that it should get better on it's own. If it's no better in 2 weeks, he will refer me to a specialist.

Yikes....Just in my opinion if your feet hurt and what you do is aggravated by it I would avoid it if at all possible until you feel better. You could aggravate the condition more.
