Mayo Clinic

Posted by Renee H on 1/23/02 at 18:17 (071030)

I've had PF and TTS for a year now. No surgeries. Pain all the time. I'm going to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN next week. I'm still working out the deatils of who exactly I'm going to see. Has anyone else been there? I'll let you know what they do with me.

Sounds like you got a side of sour grapes with that Mayo sandwich!
Hope I made you smile.

Please let me know if you see anyone with significant experience with TTS- especially for those who may have had a failed prior surgery. Thanks

Renee,

I just got back from Mayo in Rochester Minnesota for work up of foot pain. The place was impressive and the work up thorough. Make sure you allow enough time. I thought the work up would take 2 days but, instead was there 5 days. There are discounts on flights and hotels if you let them know you are a Mayo patient. Be sure to see the neuologists there, my previously suspected 'tarsal tunnel syndrome' turned out to be a small fiber neuropathy.

I went as a walk-in this week. They did the initial X-rays, etc but I couldn't get in to see the doctor I was supposed to. I have to go back. They are sending me through the foot specialists in Orthopedics. Thanks for the info though, I will remember to ask about it. I can't believe how complicated these problems can be. I'll let you know how it goes.
