Iontophoresis for Plantar Warts?

Posted by Brad D. on 3/13/02 at 18:25 (076367)

My daughter has plantar warts that have just started to give her major pain, which is effecting her ability to play basketball. She is with a traveling AAU team and dosnt need or want to miss two weeks of playing while she heals from having them removed. Do you have any knowledge of protocols of using iontophoresis, and with what medication to eliminate or at least ease pain until season ends.

The treatment depends on if the warts are really deep or speed out. Ionophoresis is an old treatmet for warts. It drys them out. Reducing sweating helps to control warts. The use of a flashlamp pulse laser is very effective for surface warts.
