Ask them why it will help you. Can you speak with any patients that they have done.

Dr Z, please delete the email address on your posts. I'm getting bounce-backs because your old email address doesn't work.

Carmen, perhaps ask them how long the doctor has been giving ESWT and how many treatments s/he has done? As we know from Dr Z, the experience of the physician is what counts most. (If you've already told us about the level of experience, forgive me for forgetting.)

Dr. Z,
You've got to feel his pain. You dropped him like a hot potato. Think about it, how you would feel if your best friend used up your sparks then dropped you for some hot insurance covered babe. Right during the holidays too.

Two interesting points

1. Even with the class three fda approval thing the insurance are very slow to come on board. Someone ( company) really did a big bill number on the insurance people.

2. If the electromagnetic head lasts like dornier tells me it will then the dornier may be cheaper to own then the orbie. Really the plugs are really alot of dough. So you have a machine that is over twice the money then the orbie but may be cheaper to own and run

Re: Just how big are these plugs?

BrianG on 3/31/02 at 20:34 (078129)

Each generation of computerized machines just gets better, and costs less. You may have paid more up front for the Dornier, but I think it has much more potential to give back more in the long long run. Especially if the insurance companies will loosten the purse strings.

About the spark plugs, are they used for anything else, besides the Orbie? They sound big enough to fire up the space shuttle !!

About the spark plugs. Never Never try to get on an airplane with one. Even before 9/11 I tried to go through the x-ray area and was questioned extensively about what the device was. I finally agreed to throw my treasured Orby Spark Plug away. It could now be worth big bucks.

Brian: the plugs look like something that Spock would use on the Starship Enterprise duing a Mind Meld.

Well, its monday and i am back to work. I am a little sore today. Im sure that this will pass. I will take aspirin. Could someone use those spark plugs as bait to catch sharks?

Re: Just how big are these plugs?

Dave the plugs would work better as an anchor.

Re: Just how big are these plugs?

Ed Davis, DPM on 4/03/02 at 22:40 (078448)

They are bigger than what you would see in a car but, I do not think, more sophisticated. High charges for the plugs-- too bad you can't get them at Pep Boys.

Similar to Sub Zero Refrigerators. More expensive to purchase, but cheaper
to run. They do an excellent job too.
