Nerve entrapment - treatment ???

Posted by Natalie on 4/14/02 at 19:08 (079652)

I have just read below about nerve entrapment. That is EXACTLY my case as far as the pain location I am experiencing which is significant pain when pressing on the side of the heel.

I am in the process of considering ESWT. I have just finished my fifth acupuncture treatment with no pain relief success. Will ESWT help in my case OR where should I direct my efforts as far as consulting goes? What about a podiatrist?

Thanks for your help and sharing your experiences!

Entrapment of the medial calcaneal nerve can mimic sighns of plantar fasciitis though if the posterior tibial nerve is entrapped usually one will experience numbness on the bottom of the foot.
What has been done so far to diagnose and treat your problem?
