Carole C., Thanks on further advice with recumbent bike

Posted by Ardee W. on 4/21/02 at 23:09 (080620)

I have learned the problem with hyperextension and do now keep my seat up closer. I also try to just imagine my thighs doing all the work and relax my feet and feel them just 'sitting there' along for the ride. I was afraid of doing the bike because of reinjuring also....I do feel some tingling in the bottom of my feet which I hadn't felt before, but it is not painful? I really need the bike time for a lot of reasons...glad you are doing so much better. It is great that you keep posting and give HOPE!

Be sure to do your gentle stretching before you bike. That might get rid of that tingly feeling, though I'm not sure. And thanks for your kind post!
