6 wks post ESWT--Swelling of foot

Posted by AndrewS on 5/07/02 at 21:30 (082922)

Is it normal to have swelling of the foot localized to the exact area of PF foot pain and which was treated by ESWT? The swollen area is about an inch in circumference and is exactly where my pain is. Is this the blood rushing to the area? Is this post op traumatic swelling? Is this the healing process? Normal? Notice it mostly when doing heat/cold contrasts.

THanks!
Andrew

Andrew I have indeed had swelling in the exact area of the PF pain which is probably very common. Of course it is the same area treated by ESWT. Ice it down and elevate the foot. Swelling in the area where the pain is comes and goes with many people.
