Successfull TTS - now intense pain in toes

Posted by Joan S on 5/15/02 at 22:39 (084102)

I had very successful TTS surgery and a tumor removed in my instep of my left foot in August. I am very pleased with the results. The pain, when walking and awaking, is gone. Now after I have been standing for awhile, I get an intense pain in in my 3 left toes. It is so severe I have to remove my shoe and take any pressure off the foot. It feels like nails are being driven through those toes. It does not happen if I am barefoot and I have tried many different shoes. Does this have anything to do with the surgery or is this another problem occurring?

Hi Joan:

Sounds like you could be describing neuroma or neuritis type pain. Is there pain on compression of the lesser toes? Does it feel radiating or shoting?
