Just something I wanted to share......

Posted by Rich on 5/22/02 at 16:27 (084890)

While I don't push my beliefs on others, I do not deny my faith and I know that some of my friends here might appreciate this.

I am God. Today I will be handling all of your
problems. Please remember that I do not need your
help.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you
cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put
it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All
situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold
onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the
wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There
are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard
of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man
who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think
of the person who has never known what it's like to
love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of
another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve
hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away
from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would
love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think
of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair
to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what
is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful.
There are those who didn't live long enough to get the
opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's
bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities;
Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of
them!

Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you,
you may have touched their life in ways you will never
know!!!!!!!!!

Blessings to you!
Richelle

I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't
granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No.
I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to
make you fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said No. I will give you life so that you may
enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as God
loves me. God said... Ahhhh, finally you have the
idea.

Stop telling God how big your storm is. Instead
tell your storm how big your GOD is

I hope this helps some of you get through rough times!

Love to all!

Richelle

Along the same lines, here is a poem from my collection:

Subject: WHAT DOES GOD ASK OF US?

Things God won't ask...
God won't ask what kind of car you drove,
but will ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

God won't ask the square footage of your house,
but will ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

God won't ask about the fancy clothes you had in your closet,
but will ask how many of those clothes helped the needy.

God won't ask about your social status,
but will ask what kind of class you displayed.

God won't ask how many material possessions you had,
but will ask if they dictated your life.

God won't ask what your highest salary was,
but will ask if you compromised your character to obtain that salary.

God won't ask how much overtime you worked,
but will ask if you worked overtime for your family and loved ones.

God won't ask how many promotions you received,
but will ask how you promoted others.

God won't ask what your job title was,
but will ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

God won't ask what you did to help yourself,
but will ask what you did to help others.

God won't ask how many friends you had,
but will ask how many people to whom you were a true friend.

God won't ask what you did to protect your rights,
but will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
but will ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won't ask about the color of your skin,
but will ask about the content of your character.

God won't ask how many times your deeds matched your words,
but will ask how many times they didn't.

When there is nothing left but God,
that is when you find out God is all you need.

May God Bless and Protect You All, Always ~ Janet

I truly LOVE this poem! I have read it many times and think about the words in it! I often wonder how someone can not read this and UNDERSTAND it as it is simple.

I never want to hide the way I feel about religion as it is part of ME,I do not mean to push it on anyone .If I do I am sorry, as it is hard for me because God is a part of my life! Thanks for sharing this poem as I really have always loved it.
