shock wave therapy

Posted by Lindsay on 5/30/02 at 00:28 (085722)

Plantar faciitis off and on for three years, but really bad now. I think I've tried everything short of the shock therapy and surgery. Concerned about the side effects of shock therapy, recovery time, and any permanent injury due to the shock therapy. Scheduled to do this in June.

Lindsay:

The permanent effectsof shock wave are that it will irritate the fascia to create a healing process. Depending on the machine reovery can take up to twelve weeks. Best of luck
