magnets

I need as many people as possible to try the radio shack magnet method. To quote my booko: '(or a magnet at the painful spot -- Radio Shack has special, very strong, very small magnets that you can tape to your heel)'

I've used a set of twelve in a grid pattern (but you have to make sure the polarity is the same or they cancel each other out: place them in a stack sticking together and then slide them off one at a time and tape them in a duct tape sandwhich without the little magnet disks flipping over - it isn't easy because they are so small and so powerful that they are hard to handle.)

As a new reader of your website, I found this extremely helpful. What I
want to thank you the most for is the suggestion for the magnets at Radio
Shack. I stopped on my way home from work last night spent $1.72 and oh
what relief! And I know it is not all in my head. This may not work for
some or even most, but so far it is working for me. I know, I know, it has
not even been 24 hours, but I am so excited at the prospect of being pain
free!
After I bought the magnets last night I taped them on, put on my Nikes
with my gel heel pads and went to the gym. (usually with my Nikes & the
heel pads I can cope) and last night after I took off the shoes and I could
still walk! I wore the magnets to bed got up once during the night for
bathroom duties (I could walk) and when I got out of bed this morning I
could walk. I still had some pain, but nothing like what I am used to.
I've had the symptoms since probably last summer, went to the pod in Sept.
or Oct. he told me what limited stuff I could do and I have just been
suffering since. And it got worse no matter what I did. I have bought so
many new shoes trying to compensate, but nothing has helped. Barefoot is
probably the best for me and I am not a barefoot person. I hate to go
barefooted. Also my lightly padded house shoes work pretty well. I pray
for it to go away and now I found the magnets so maybe I have some hope. I
am female 55 and a little overweight, but I am working on this. Thank you.

Scott --

I bought some magnets at Radio Shack today. They are 0.5 inches in diameter ceramic magnets, and are about twice the size and thickness of an Altoids breath mint. They come in packages of five. Are these the magnets you're talking about? They appear too thick to use while walking; rather, it looks like they can only be applied when sitting or in bed.

Please let me know if I bought the right magnets. Thanks.

No, the magnets are about the size of a pellet or a couple of BBs.

Scott: If these magnets screw up my new flat screen monitor i am coming after you. I just was looking at them in front of me as I type and my monitor had some sort of convulsion.
