heel pain

Posted by cackermann on 7/15/02 at 20:37 (089727)

My heel pain has increased and now the pain is on the outer aspect of my foot and when walking it feels like I am walking on a lump. The pain comes when weight bearing and resting. I have tried on my own vioxx and helpful but should I see a specialist and or have MRI. My podiatrist has injected three times with little results. Ice is the best but I am a nurse and this is interfering with my job.

Re: heel pain...maybe cushion in silicone?

Dear Ms Cackermann

I would talk to Dr Kiper ...short consultations are OK. (800 DrKiper) Other DPM's have used his Silicone Orthotics for Deep Kertosis & have had sucess! I think its the massaging effect the liquid has on deep tissue & nerves. Its the only device that flows laterally & vertical instead of compressing vertically like foam orthotics...Good Luck!
