what is it

Posted by Gina on 8/05/02 at 18:26 (091670)

Hello
I have a lot of the symptoms of 'heel spur' which are pain in the mornings and stiffness, but my pain is loctacted at the back of my foot at the top of the heel bone. From a diagram I have found it looks like the points of hudlunds deformity!! (I have no idea what that is).

It is painful most of the time but when rubbed it feels bruised at that point, although the whole heels aches all the time.

This is on both ankles I have no idea when it started sometime since my daugher was born nearly three years ago. I did sprain BOTH ankles at the same time two years ago.

Cheers Gina

Hi

From what you are saying it appears to be insertional achilles tendonitis. This is treated with rest, nsaid, physical therapy, heel lifts
