heel spurs and knee pain

Posted by Mark H on 8/11/02 at 15:35 (092230)

I have been diagnosed as having a heel spur which I think I got as a result of wearing poor footwear whilst living on a farm in Brazil. I was on my feet all day and the terrain was very uneven and stony.
I have read about heel spurs on several sites but none of them seem to match my exact symptoms. I do not have pain in the morning but it builds up over the day and after a long day I feel pain in my knee. It feels as if it is right inside the knee. Would this suggest a nerve aggravation caused by the spur?
If so what would be the best treatment?

regards

Mark

This could be both plantar fasciitis and or TTS. Read the heel pain book. See a specialist first. Have your walking biomechanic checked out.
Do you have a podiatrist or foot specialist near you?
