Ultrasound ?Posted by Pete R on 9/06/02 at 09:34 (094602)
I've been meaning to ask this question for a while and Ralph's recent note has reminded me.
If ultrasound is so good at helping ESWT accuracy why isn't it used more regularly when patients are being assesed for pf ? If ultrasound shows the fascia is thickened then surely diagnosis of pf would be so much easier and we wouldn't have so many cases of misdiagnosis / surgery when not needed etc.
My MRI showed no foot problems, would ultrasound show something different. Is ultrasound more accurate, what is the difference between it and an MRI
