achiles heel pain

Posted by Chris D on 9/25/02 at 09:43 (096180)

I have pain in the achiles area. I have noticed a lump that appears on both heels. It appears most noticable in the morning before rising. The lumps seem to diminish some after I walk around. I also experience a great deal of stiffness when I rise from a sedentary position. Also I run three to four times a week. The achiles area is always tender on both feet.

This sounds like insertional achilles tendonitis secondard to overuse . Running is making this worse at this time. See a podiatrist so that he can determine the extend of injury to the tendon. In the mean time stop running
