Injection Therapy for Fibromas

Posted by Dave R on 10/01/02 at 07:09 (096579)

I have a plantar fibroma. The 2 DPMs that I've visited suggests surgery primarily because the fibroma is in the heel area and it's causing some pain...enough to give me a slight limp...it does not hurt when I'm not standing on it. I'm opting instead for more conservative treatment initially. (injection therapy w/padding-orthotics?)

Does anyone know of an article, website, or paper that describes the injection therapy / procedure in treatment of plantar fibromas? Even a summary description. I'd like to read up on.....and print something out and bring it with me on my next DPM visit.

Thanks !!!!!!
