throbbing heal pain

Posted by andy on 10/06/02 at 14:27 (096979)

i have had a very painfull heal for nearly ten years. i stand on my feet
for 9 hours a day- i have had foot insoles made, i have had heel cups made
out of jelly, i have had blue spot heel cups,i have had 5 injections, and
4 months ago i had an opperation to remove some bone on the heal. i have
also had xrays which show no sign of a heal spur, but with all of this
done my heels are killing me. my doctor said i should change my job and
get one that i can sit down all day,but the also affects my personel
life as well, as i dont like to stand up to long as the pain does'nt
take long to kick in. i have also been wearing trainners for about the
last 4 yrs but this does not help.

please help
thanks

Andy:

Was the spur removed from the back or bottom of the heel? If it was removed from the bottom, the plantar fascia would generally be released.
What treatment did you have before the surgery?
