More on spam and other internet nuisances

Posted by Nancy N on 10/17/02 at 15:08 (097753)

I hope nobody will mind me posting this link, which is to an article written by David Pogue a few months ago. In it, he describes ways to deal with email hoaxes, spam, and pop-up ads. Since the subject came up here a while ago, I thought it might be of interest. (The New York Times requires you to have a free registration account with them, which is quick and painless to set up and does not generate spam--I've had an account with them for six years and have never received any mail from them that I did not first request.)

This is great - I am going to give it to my students in computer class.
