Dr. Z... need advice on finding right Doc

Posted by EKC on 11/14/02 at 07:21 (100117)

I had two neuro doc's tell me two different things in the last 12 months.
ONe said the NCV gave pos results to TTS. Based on that, I had a
failed TTS/PF release in May 2002. Yesterday, a new neuro (he is
top-dog at a teaching hospital) said the NCV I had yesterday could not
confirm TTS.
I cannot walk mroe than a few steps w/o both feet hurting. Ache, tired,
tightening ankles and painful arches. I always use a wheelchair to
do my shopping. I cannot walk around the block. The most I can walk
is around my house, office, and trhough the parking lots (sometimes). The podiatrsits have given up on me. Now so has the Neuro's. WHO DO I GO TO NOW?
PS. I've had 4+ years of conservative therapies, 1 EPF, and 1 TTS/PF release (mentioned already) on one foot. I have orthotics, but not sure how much they help me. Not sure how I could still have PF in the one foot as I had two surgeries on that foot. Both feet feel the same.

This is tough .

Have you had a complete history and physical to rule out systemic problems such as lupus,RA etc. How is the back.? You may have to visit pain management

My back is fine. They ruled out RA a year ago.
So, no ideas?
