ESWT for forefoot pain

Posted by Gregg W on 11/15/02 at 09:47 (100239)

I've had bilateral PF for about 4 years. It started as the classic front of heel pain. About 5 months after ESWT on left heel that did subside. Then I started getting bilateral forefoot pain just behind metatarsals where the plantar facsia attaches. Feels just like the tearing sensation of PF heel pain only at the other ends of the plantar fascia.

I have done all the conservative treatment, had an MRI (showed nothing) and do not believe I have a neuroma, etc. I do have some degree of hallux limitus in both feet.

Has eswt been tried on the forefoot region?
