who should I see for second opinion?????

Posted by Marty on 12/29/02 at 19:05 (104241)

Ok, I'm going to get some second opinions. I have been to 4 pod's now and was wondering what other specialists I should see. I have been diagnosed with both PF and TTS. I do have allot of burning on the inside of my ankle etc. along with pain and burning on bottom of foot too. I'm on Neurontin and have tried many things. I want to have a Nerve conduction test and a MRI. Who should I got to next? Please give me a list of posibles.

Thanks for imput.

Either an orthopedic foot and ankle doctor and or a podiatrist can order both tests. I did take a look at the web site for specialists taht I know in Salt Lake City area. I didn't notice any. There is a section on this web site that rate doctors I take a look there

Marty: You have been to 4 Pods so why not give an Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon who has a Fellowship in this speciality a go. He might bring something new to the table. I had a nerve condution test and both he and the surgeon said this is not 100% conclusive of TTS and that ultimately the only way to know is to explore through surgery for anything that could cause nerve entrapment.Don't just go to an Orthopedic or Sports Medicine Specialist but make sure he has done his residency in foot and ankle surgery. My city only has 3 of these type Doctors and you have to wait a while to get in.
