Capsulitis?

Posted by Ashley R. on 2/03/03 at 19:51 (107859)

After having pain in my ankle joint, right in the front of my foot where my shin meets my foot and continuing diagnally fowards down the inside but only for about an inch, on and off for about one year, I finally went to the podiatrist. He said that I have capsulitis. I have flat feet and my foot rolls inward when I walk. I do gymnastics and cannot wear orthotics when I do that, but I do wear them in my sneakers. He gave me an ankle brace to help keep my ankle more stable so it doesn't not roll inwards. But, it is not working. What would be the next step? is this typical of capsulitis, or more of tendinitis?

Hi

Taping could help you for gymnastics. You would tape both the foot and the ankle. This is what they do in professional sports.
