Pedobarograph assessmentPosted by Pete R on 2/23/03 at 05:34 (110451)
I have been referred by a foot and ankle specialist for the above assessment. This will be undertaken at Oswestry, England which is apparently an internationlly recognised unit for gait and orthotic assessment.
Have you heard of this type of assement and is it generally successful / useful.

Yes. This will help to evaluate your weight distribution starting with your heel and going forward to the metatarasl bones. The question is what are they trying to determine from this examine and if there is a weight distribution problem what are they going to do to correct this problem. This test is very helpful in the evaluation and management of diabetic ulcerations. This is a non-invasive test and will give more information about your foot. So get it and see what they say and what they can do. I hope this informatoin I have posted is helpful. Feel free to keep us updated
