For those of you who are in a cast-and want a SHOWER!!Posted by Jan H. on 2/25/03 at 10:54 (110691)
I just got back from the POD for my first check up after surgery-he changed my cast-to make it a little closer to 90 degrees. I got a great item-it is called the XeroSox Pro-Pump http://www.XeroSox.com It allows you to get a shower, swim (although not here since it's 19 degrees) ect...without getting your cast wet at all. I used it last night to get a shower and it worked great.

Sounds cool! You should post this one on the 'treatments' board, too, since people are sometimes put in a cast for severe PF, to try to give it time to heal...

This is very cool and the prices are quite reasonable. I have a plastic boot-shaped thing with a rubber seal that I bought in the medical supply store. It works great for a shower but couldn;t be used for swimming. I don;t think it was much less in cost than this Pro-Pump. Great item! Mar
