Dupuytrens contracture???

Posted by Carol D. on 3/07/03 at 08:14 (112097)

Has anyone heard of a disorder called Dupuytrens Contracture effecting feet? This genetic syndrome caused my father and his siblings to experience contracture in their hands. I have heard it could be present in feet. I suffer from nerve pain in one foot and the cause has not been diagnosed (NCV and EMG tests are negative.

Absolutely . It is called plantar fibromatosis in the feet. Looks very similiar to what you see in hands. Both the hand/feet cause nodules to form which as you know can be very painful.
