Planta Faciitus

Posted by Barbara B on 3/10/03 at 14:03 (112446)

About six months ago I started having severe pain in the area of my right instep. I have been seen by my orthopedict Dr. a Nerve Specialist and a foot doctor all to no avail. The pain is not as intesne as it was and I don't get the spasm, but when I try to drive my car my foot starts tingling and feels like it has gone to sleep and I can't feel the pedals real well so I haven't been able to drive for the past six months. I am told by my Dr. (foot) to be patient! I am wondering if I should consider surgery of maybe cortisone shots. Something has to be done!

Barbara:

Please take the time to read Scott's Heel Pain Book so that you understand the nature of treatment for this problem. What treatment have you had so far?
