metatarsal area

Posted by carolyn c on 3/21/03 at 14:34 (113764)

For the past few months, I have noticed an increased amount of discomfort of the left foot. I can't rule out the fact, that I may have stepped on something, or banged into something. The area is of the under side of the foot, the metatasal area, between the 3rd and 4th phalanges.

This could be from a pinch neuroma, bursitis, tendonitis, foreign body, wart. I hope that this is helpful.

I have pain just below the toes of my left foot. It gets so bad that it causes the top of my foot to get swollen up and bruised. What could be the problem, considering I have not dropped anything on my foot or stepped on anything either.

Please respond to my email address.
