Diabetic with RA

Posted by LISA M on 5/11/03 at 22:41 (118378)

Hi, I'm a Diabetic from the age of 7, Rheumotoid Arthritis X 9 years. I'm 36 years old now. I'm 130lbs 5 foot 1, I'm not overweight. I have pain in my feet, walking alot is tough. My feet are deformed from RA, toes seperating, lumps on the side next to little toe. Is there a way to strengthen my feet without damaging? I'm on all kinds of meds, Enbrel (shots), Methotrexate, Prednisone, plaquenil, Ultram, Relefen for RA and of course I'm Insulin dependent. Also, I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet, not dramatic but enough to made it uncomfortable to sleep at night. I take Neurontin for that. I know I'm a mess but I feel I need to do something to strengthen my feet or my legs. Any advise would help, starting to help helpless.
Thank you,
