heel painPosted by Marcia K on 5/19/03 at 23:01 (119340)
My husband is experiencing a tremendous pain in his heel when he walks. It came on today. He had no injury or twisting of his foot. He says it feels like a million needles that start on each side of his heel and run up the calf of his leg. The pain is so bad he used crutches to get around this afternoon. Sometimes when he gets up the pain is gone but after he takes 2-3 steps he can't go on.
He is a diabetic and is worried it might have something to do with his diabetes.
Thanks for your time.

Very important to see a podiatrist now. I have no idea if he has a ulcer on his foot that can't be seen. Early evaluation is very important since you are a diabetic. Have you seen a doctor yet?/
