plantar fibromatosis under the toes??

Posted by peter f on 5/28/03 at 09:12 (120125)

I have had pf 3 yrs and it has nearly gone in the heels and arch (thankyou eswt) but I have 2 areas at the base of each second proximal phalange which are tender to walk on in any shoes-the area of tendernress feels like a squelchy lump under the fingers about 4 mm across-can pl fibromatosis affect this area ?(I think the initial injury was caused by squash)?-I wondered about bursitis but can that last for many months??I also suspect the toe ridge of my Birks has aggravated it-any ideas very welcome

thanks

Hi Peter

Maybe we can email off-line so that you can tell me about the heel and arch symptoms that you had that are now better. I had ESWT and would like to know how it helped your arches. I have the heel and arch tupe of PF. Would you mind?
Thanks
Monte
