cramping calvesPosted by Celia on 6/04/03 at 15:18 (120946)
What kind of medical test can I take to find out what's wrong with my calves? What type of specialist handles this issue? My legs tighten up all the time and when I massage them, I find knots all inside my calves. Any little bit of exercise makes my legs tighten up again. I have found that when I massage my calves, I feel a sharp sting right behind my kness where the calf muscles start.

I have had very similar symptoms. I have TTS, PF and am being treated for fibro although I am not dx with it. Neurontin and elavil helped my symptoms alot. I slowed down on stretching exercises...I think I was doing to much to fast. I am still stretching. Compression socks and men's support socks helped. Also I wear light compression tights. That has helped the zingers I was getting behind my knees.
best of luck to you!

You know, I've was diagnosed with Fibro back in 1998 and absolutely refused the medication. I'm beginning to think that Fibro is a big contributor. I would hate to think that I have to be relying on meds for the rest of my life. I wonder???
