YIKES PETER! Foot problems are multi-cultural and don't discriminate as to who gets them. Canada is 4-star in my book. I love visiting threre. So you can just talk to the =;. And since I have a wonderful new word in my vocabulary I'm going to use it. You comment is a double moot.

PS Thanks because I've been dying to use the 'talk to the hand' smiley.

BG - you are so brave saying that from thousands of miles away.

Marie - I CANNOT believe I missed the 'talk to the hand' opportunity.

I tend to pick out the two facial expressions I use the most in real conversations (rolling my eyes and winking (rarely in the same conversation of course)). I totally forgot about the talk to the hand!!

Oh man, John, are you dating yourself!!! I think the Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlin are the people who come to mind. Probably some others that I'm not 'with it' enough to think of!

As for me, I love Canada and the Canadian people!

I at one time flew regular flights into Churchill, Canada which is where they have a polar bear problem. Also ran into some Mounties in Thule, Greenland which is just south of the North Pole. These Mounties were on 5 year tours in the Northwest Territory and once a year came to Thule for R & R. We considered Thule about as remote as you can get with regular 100mph winds and 100 below cold factors. Nothing but ice.You might not enjoy the Northwest Territory so much.

Kathy do those groups sing 'Indian Love Call'?

If you ever find yourself looking forward to R&R once a year in Thule, you'll know you've got a tough job. BRRR!

Carole C, who thinks New Orleans was cold enough last winter!

Really guys......if Wendy is any indication of what Canada's about, then I say we've got a darn fine northern neighbor!

Carole - San Diego is having its coldest week of the winter right now - it's been wet, cold, gray and no warmer than 60 degrees for three days and it will continue all this week! This is just too strange....:)

That is VERY STRANGE, Judy!

This has been a very odd year for weather. We had a terribly cold winter here, too. We had not one, but two very hard freezes where the temperature did not go above 30 for a few days. It was awful. I had to scrape my windshield because of frost, and some of my plants died.

None of the people up in the northeast felt the least bit sorry for us poor New Orleanians, either! :))
