Oh dear Carole, you do have a full plate with your family right now don't you? Hopefully, as you continue to care for them, you'll take some R&R time in your own lovely back yard - take care of yourself too! :)

Thanks, I'd like to spend more time outside, but maybe another day! Today we have Tropical Storm Bill so there's intense rain, gusty winds, minor street flooding, and most ominously, the canals are almost full. I did get off work at noon though! I can use the R&R. :)

Has the weather settled down in your area, Carole? I hope you were able to have a relaxing afternoon today and that you are not experiencing any problems with flooding.

Yes, everything is settled down now. I didn't have any problems with flooding at my house, but there was flooding in some other areas. I think most of it was in areas that usually flood, though I'm not really sure yet. Anyway, things are back to normal now. Thanks for caring!
My Granadas got soaked, but they are drying in the living room and I'm hoping they will still be OK. Meanwhile, I've still got my Fuldas. :)

I'm glad you didn't have any flooding in your house, Carole. Your Granadas ought to be alright, I think. The other day I was attempting to turn over a rain-filled garbage can lid on the ground, but it was more flexible than I thought and I ended up drenching my feet with all the water instead of pouring it away from me. #-o I was wearing my Arizonas, and they got soaked, but they are fine. Hope yours will be, too!

I'm wearing them today and they seem to be just fine. How amazing, considering that they are leather! :)
