A good forefoot pain reliever relaxation technique

Posted by Mike W on 7/04/03 at 10:26 (123569)

Splitting the apple:

You need to be able to cross say your right leg onto your left knee/thigh
and be able to hold your right foot with both hands. If you can't do this then teach your partner.

Place your left thumb on top of your big toe at the base of your big toe. Your left fingers will be on the bottom of your foot and be touching the middle of your arch.

Place your right thumb on top of your foot right beside your left thumb.
Your right fingers will on the botom of your foot and be touching the middle of your arch.

Gently squeeze you foot with both hands. With your left thumb gently move your big toe to the left. With your right thumb gently move the 2nd to 5th toes to the right.

Do this 5 -10 times holding the stretch for 5-10 seconds.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Mike W
