Toe pain and PF

Posted by Tom on 7/04/03 at 20:46 (123604)

I have had PF for several years. Recently I have noticed a cramping feeling in my big toe, and the range of motion when I flex my toes up is much less than my left, and I am aware of pain in the top part of my toes, particularly the big toe. If I massage the area around that toe, I can feel bone moving around. Any feedback re: what this is would be appreciated.

This isn't like anything I've had, so I don't know. But I tried a google.com search and came up with an interesting board:
http://www.umm.edu/patiented/articles/what_some_causes_treatments_pain_front_of_foot_000061_9.htm
and
http://www.healthandage.com/PHome/gm=6!gid6=6101

It has a chart of various feet maladies, location, symptoms, and proper footware. I'm glad I found this, I'm going to check it out for my daughter. Thanks.

I doubt I've been much help, but maybe this will spur some stream-of-consciousness thought by someone else that will be helpful.

Good luck.

Lara, thank you very much for taking the time to direct me to those sites. It is probably one of two conditions, which I will ask my doctor about. Thank you again.

You're welcome. Hope the news doesn't turn out to be too bad.
