heel spur?

Posted by Melody P on 7/04/03 at 22:44 (123606)

Can an untreated heel spur cause pain up the back of your leg? I am pretty sure that I have one, but the past few days, it feels like I have pulled my hamstring or a tendon in the back of my leg/knee. I do twist my feet when I walk and was fitted for orthotics years ago when I was on my feet a lot. I can't seem to find a comfortable pair of shoes. I will make an appt to see my Dr, but I can't get in til he gets back from vacation. I'm just trying to figure out what to do? Thanks in advance for any help or insight you can give me:)

Yes it can. Any type of pain especially heel pain will cause you to walk differently. Do you have a history of phebitis or clots in your leg. I would have this examined asap and not wait for your doctor to come back from vacation
