pins and needlesPosted by Kelly T on 7/05/03 at 18:00 (123636)
I recently began walking/running 2-3 miles 3-4 times a week. Almost intially, I began to get a numbness in my right foot that traveled up my leg about 30 minutes into my walks. If I stop for a moment it dissappears, but returns shortly if keep moving.
I am 28 years old..and fairly active and have no chronic health issues. I used to run 3-5 miles 4 days a week, but stopped due to career changes in the last year. I never had any problems like this and am concerned, but don't want to unecessarily worry if it is simply a matter of giving my body time to adjsut to my new level of activity.
Any ideas or suggestions?

This sounds like some like of nerve entrapement. Check you shoe gear, to see if they are pinching your toes together. If this continues you shouldn't try to adjust to this. Need to see a foot specialist. Sure sounds like an neuroma between your toes starting. So first check you shoes for proper fit
