Had My SurgeryPosted by rose on 7/09/03 at 15:40 (123884)
I had my PF release surgery on July 1. I ws given a boot and told to use crutches with weight bearing. I had a neuroma operated on att he same time on the other foot. So far I am still in a wheel chair and am experiencing little pain if I just sit withmy feet up and iced. I have tried crutches but am very unstable and cannot walk at all on them. I was wondering other experiences in this area. I get the stitches out on Friday. Do you think it matters if I stand and walk a very little even when it makes both feet hurt or is it safer to completely stay off my feet?

It would be best to follow your doctor's instructions very carefully. Your surgeon is the expert. He/she should be aware of the exact extent of your surgery, and should presumablly know of anything concerning your physical condition, health problems, etc. that might affect your recovery.
