Plantar Fascia and Celiac diseasePosted by Jennifer L on 7/11/03 at 17:13 (124144)
HI, I was recently diagnosed with adult onset Celiac Disease which as you probable know is an auto immune disease where your small intestine can't absorb gluten. The only way to control it is to eliminate gluten from your diet. Some of the side effects can be the onset of other auto immune diseases and fibromyaligia. I was wondering if the Plantar Fascia that I was recently diagnosed with also could be a side effect of the Celiac. Thanks.

The PF may be separate but there are arthritic conditions linked with diseases of the gut that could mimick PF. Go over the diagnosis cautiously with your doc.
