plantar fasciitis

Posted by Michael L on 7/17/03 at 11:30 (124632)

Is it common for a doctor to restrict someone from satnding more than 15 minutes an hour due to plantar fasciitis? This seems a little restrictive.

What do you think?

Actually, it sounds kind of logical to me. Being on your feet interferes with their ability to heal. I don't know how long you've had PF, or how much reading of this site you've done yet, but there are many people here who've had PF for YEARS. (And I for one am jealous that you are ABLE to stand longer than 15! :) I can only stand for about 5 minutes at a time.)

Really, I would listen to your doctor...even though it's restrictive, there's good reason for it. You don't want to risk developing a chronic case...
