persistant neuromaPosted by lisa c on 8/05/03 at 13:01 (126277)
My sig. other,Tim, is an obese man,and has had back fusion 18mos.ago, which he has had a good recovery from, but he continues to have pain from a neuroma of the right foot. The podietrist first surgically removed one and then went in and gave him a series of very painful injections of novocain/and something else to 'kill the nerve' so he would have no more pain. The foot was numbed but the pain never really went away, and is now really bothering him.
Is there any other relief method, maybe another option?-because Tim's doctor has no further ideas.
Thanks for any help,

May have an entrapement of the nerve in the plantar capsule of the joint. May need furter foot surgery to correct this.
