I cannot resist I cannot help myselfPosted by john h on 9/02/03 at 17:33 (128594)
Perhaps only Teachers will remember this. I know Suzanne will:
Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater,
Had a wife and couldn't keep her;
He put her in a pumpkin shell,
And there she kept very well.

Nope, 'there HE kept her very well...'
Peter Pumpkin Eater's wife didn't seem to have a choice about much of anything.

I'm not going to come anywhere this one. My ears are still ringing from the last thread I posted too. :D =:)

I sure do remember that one. Also, 'Mary, Mary, quite contrary...' - which is how I've felt all day! :D
Guess there's a rhyme somewhere for all times!

Maybe the 'she kept him very well'was an unconscience slip. :)) This has been the hardest I have laughed in a long time! :))
Thanks for the humor all!

I remember those too. Must be from my mother reading to us when we were little.
I also remember one that has 'Nantucket' somewhere in the middle...but we will not go there. [-X
