Minor foot pain such as plantar fascia pain can start out as minor and then become a major serious, limp for many many months. Prevention and early treatment is very important. Don't ignore minor pain if can become a limp for life. The heel pain book is a very good source for education.
The first thing I would do when I have a minor foot pain is to check my shoes.
