You people should go seek a DocterPosted by David Foster on 10/01/03 at 15:30 (131855)
What kind of play-ground are you people trying to create? Docters are busy! and it is nice of them to compelete questions 'However based on such messages I don,t know why you people don,t go see a Docter. After just finding this board I find some of these questions to be pampered with belony! Some of you people may have a bad case of nerve sydrome! Anyway I have posted my finel and only post on this board. If I were you Docters I would not take the time out of the day to respond to be do do heads messages. That is all I have to say and ever say!!!!!!!!

You sound like the last doctor that most of these patients have been too. You don't listen

Many of us do not have HMO's that let you go see doctors that actaully answer questions...and it takes forever to get an appointment!

FOR A CERTIFIED DOCTOR YOU MUST HAVE FAILED SPELLING AND GRAMMAR.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 08:53 (131928)
A doctor for years? Really?? I thought for sure when you wrote 'I would not take the time out of the day to respond to be 'do do heads' messages' that you couldn't be a day over 14 - I figured you were some kid messing around on the boards.
Seriously, no one's asked you to take part in the boards, so why do you care? Go away.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 09:05 (131929)
Hmmm, interesting, I've never met a doctor who couldn't actually spell the word.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterSharon W on 10/02/03 at 09:17 (131932)
David Foster is a common enough name; I'll bet there is a Dr. David Foster in almost every state. (I checked -- there is one in Texas...)
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 09:20 (131933)
Really, some people need to find productive things to do with their spare time! :)
Re: You people should go seek a DocterSharon W on 10/02/03 at 09:35 (131934)
Just making sure to avoid a certain doctor's office!
Re: You people should go seek a DocterSharon W on 10/02/03 at 09:38 (131935)
...Or maybe that should have been 'docter'...
Re: You people should go seek a Docterjohn king on 10/02/03 at 10:21 (131938)
You are full of shit.
Re: You people should go seek a Docterjohn king on 10/02/03 at 10:26 (131943)
I think this list has saved me from making a bad mistake so I value the opinions I have heard here. I told Foster to f..k off but he deserves it. He is just some wise ass.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 10:47 (131944)
Well that sums it up nicely, doesn't it. But tell us John, how do you REALLY feel? ;)
Re: You people should go seek a Docterjohn king on 10/02/03 at 12:37 (131950)
Well, guys like this Foster are just there to cause an uproar and get people upset. He knows nothing. I wish his feet hurt like mine. I just went to the grocery store and it was an ordeal. That is really bad when you dread going to the store because you are going to have to stand in line a few minutes. I wish this pain on those who judge us. I lost my job partly because of this foot problem. Now I am on disability and limp around and use handicap parking. Because the problem is invisible we get judged. I am a Vietnam Vet and I am sick of being judged by those who know nothing. That is a long winded response to your question, Aly.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 12:47 (131951)
I often feel exactly the same way. People can be really harsh sometimes. I try to be as understanding with such people as I can (unless they're like Foster, but that's something else entirely) People are ignorant, they really don't get what's going on, and chances are if they did they wouldn't treat us in such a manner. I've had some people respond in really caring ways. But some days, when I run into the difficult ones, it's hard not to take it personally, I know.
I try to educate the ones I can, and as for the rest of them - screw it. If they would prefer to judge rather than listen, I don't have the time of day for them.

I am butting in, but your comments reminded me of something. I rarely read the Sports section of the newspaper but yesterday an article about a basketball player caught my attention. Jay Williams who played for the Chicago Bulls and was a star at Duke is now just 22 years old and in severe physical shape because of a motorcycle accident last year. He went from being strong, fast, athletic, agile without a care in the world to living in a wheelchair for the most part and being unsure what the recovery will be. He had severe injuries. He says that going to the bathroom is now a 7-stage process. He says he is worn out by 7 pm and goes to bed. This has been his life this year. He may be a lucky one and things will get better. For plenty of people, they never get better...It always strikes me very strongly when one minute everything is ok and the next, all life is different. I always think how different relationships would be if we could all REALLY realize how completely fragile and uncertain life is and how we are all linked by one thing: being human beings in bodies that 'break'. I don't know - I'm feeling today like life is hard. Do you have those days? Sorry for butting in..
Re: You people should go seek a DocterAly on 10/02/03 at 15:54 (131969)
I think life IS really hard. Man, if I'd known as a kid what being an 'all powerful adult' was Really like, I would never have grown up! ;)
It's too bad that major events have to happen in our lives or in the world (e.g. 9/11) to get us to fully appreciate one another. My bout with severe pneumonia, shortly followed by 9/11, followed by my more difficult PF days have increased my empathetic side, and on most days I am seeing people for who they really are - people who are dealing with difficult things and just trying to do the best they can in life. Sometimes it's really hard to keep that up though...
Re: Is David really Joe Baxter?marie on 10/02/03 at 16:43 (131975)
Yes I noticed the same grammar problems in Joe Baxter's post above. HMMMMMM!!! Yet another mystery.
Re: You people should go seek a Doctermarie on 10/02/03 at 16:51 (131976)
I remember just how you feel. All of the sudden your life is uprooted by your feet. It took me a while to finally break down and use a scooter and wheel chair for outings. People have no idea just how people with serious foot problems feel. Chronic pain does something to your mind after a while. That's what makes this board a great place to share and comfort on our worst and best days.
best wishes to you, marie
Re: You people should go seek a Doctermarie on 10/02/03 at 16:56 (131978)
Grow up! :o Never! There's just too many cool toys out there.
Dorothy I hope you will have a brighter day. I have those days too. It's just a blaf time of the year. We got a cold front through here. I hope we don't go from summer to winter like we did last year.
best wishes marie

Could be. Maybe he is also HA HA; it's the same level of sophistication.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterDorothy on 10/02/03 at 17:05 (131980)
Thanks, Marie - I wish it were the weather, but it is a really gorgeous fall day, my favorite kind of weather - sunny but crisp. But I do know this about myself - autumn is a little bit tough mood-wise so I have to be aware of that. These things can get to the backs, feets, and all of it.
I hope your sinuses are still on the mend. Weather changes can affect that, too. I got my first and worst sinus infection in Ann Arbor on a cold, rainy spring day in 1994 - ah, yes, I remember it well...
Thanks again for the good wishes. I hope the same for you.

I think you must be a young teenager fooling around on the computer who just found this board. No adult would be like this, certainly not a professional trained adult in the services.

To David Foster: What kind of 'Docter' Doctor are you? If you don't like this message board log off. Someone who spells and has grammar like you do should go back to a regular medical school not THE SCHOOL OF THE THREE STOOGES or QUASIMODO UNIVERSITY. Get real and go find a hobby like Ideograms. It amazing how my 6 year old nephew can spell better than you and he certainly has more sense than a supposedly grown-up.

I was thinking about deleting his post, but it is just way to funny to read. Great bedside manner. Where do I call to make an appointment?? lol. I think it might be some kid playing around.
After reading his post, I suddely became hungry for a bologna (or is it belony??) sandwich. hee hee hee.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterRichard, C.Ped on 10/03/03 at 10:42 (132056)
Anyone else catch the similar way this guy spelled doctor (docter) and the way Joe Baxter spelled doctor in the treatment board? His post is from 10/2/03 about neck strain.
The plot thickens.......or is it all just belony???
Re: You people should go seek a Docternancy s. on 10/03/03 at 11:08 (132061)
Richard, you're right on both counts: the plot thickened, and it IS all just 'belony'! bless this guy's heart for the amusement.

Maybe someday you will need help and no one will take you seriously. Take care 'Big Brother is Watching You.' BOO!!!!

I'm glad this was left on, because it is funny. . . But listen, kid, our feet hurt and we're cranky, so you need to find some other people your own age. First, go to http://lycoszone.lycos.com/ and check out some of the homework help. Especially check out the dictionary and spelling help. It's entertaining; it'll help you learn some important stuff and give you something more interesting to do than hang out on this board. (We're all hoping we won't even hang out on this board for all that long!) Then in school next week, get the phone numbers of some friends and call them next time you're bored. And most importantly, play nice with them! Also, only play on the computer (or watch TV or play video games) for about an hour a day, or you'll get fat, and kids at school will be mean to you because people in our society don't have good attitudes toward overweight people. Now, go clean your room, brush your teeth, and GO TO BED! And don't come back here or we'll give you spelling quizzes. . . .
Re: Is David really Joe Baxter?marie on 10/03/03 at 14:05 (132077)
I'd say that is a strong possibility.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterDorothy on 10/03/03 at 14:15 (132079)
His neck strain might be cured by removing his head from his netherparts and doing something better with his time - like maybe homework.
Re: You people should go seek a DocterSharon W on 10/03/03 at 15:29 (132087)
At least his presence here has provided a needed diversion!
