tinels sign accuracy?

Could one of the DPM's please explain to me the accuracy of the tinels sign? can one have trsal tunnel with a negative result? thnaks

Yes. The Tinnel sign is just a part of the picture that helps the doctor diagnosis TTS. Numbness, buring, tinglling are some of the other signs. MRI and EMG are other tests to help rule out or rule in TTS. The history of injury to your foot and or ankle is another important aspect

I have TTS, confirmed by an NCV test, and I don't have Tinel's sign.
