Can you do the Stairmaster with PF?

Posted by Tisha A. on 10/24/03 at 10:27 (135263)

Is the Stairmaster a good alternative to running when you have PF? I thought it would be because it's a non impact excercise, but now I'm thinking otherwise with the way I use my foot when I'm on it? Make sense? Please help. Thank you.

Tisha - I am not a doctor, but I don't think it's a good alternative - often your heel will come up off the pad, which could be a strain on the fascia. Biking and swimming are the alternatives that most of us use.

steve, have you seen scott's message on the s/s board about posts marked with an x? you might want to look at it -- i just don't like to see you waste your sincere desire to help people.

Nancy,
I am new to this site and don't know what 'x' means after a posting or what the s/s board is? Could you point me in the right direction?
