Would medicare pay for ESWT? Starting in February 2004 I got medicare coverage under SSDI. I wonder if the veterans adminstration covers this?

John - It seems to me that they use to pay a small amount, but I am not sure if this is true any more. And if this is the same John K that recently posted on the other board, the ESWT wouldn't do you any good anyway. They treat the heel, and if you don't have heel pain, you won't get much out of the procedure.

Thanks for telling me about the eswt not helping non heel pain. I have been told this before but I am despartely looking around for some treatment short of surgery. I am pretty immobile now and I would really be wiped out if I could not at least go to the grocery store.

I am in Florida. I have BC/BS, medicare, and the VA is supposed to provide for all my medical needs(ha,ha). I even have workers compensation on these damn feet but balked at surgery.
