thought for the day...

Posted by Suzanne D on 11/05/03 at 14:33 (136448)

I received this in an e-mail today and thought I would share it with you:

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty, some
are dull, some have weird names, and
all are different colors but they all
have to learn to live in the same box.

Suzanne :)

And I still can't stay in the stinking lines with the darned things.

Thank goodness, I think I'd have to quit palavering with you if you were one of those line people! They're after me you know.

I like the lines! Rah, lines!

SOMETHING's got to help those of us who aren't artistic. So I'm sticking up for those poor, misunderstood lines! LOL

Hmmmm one of them huh. I'll be on gaurd! I bet you even try to stay between them when you drive. Rest assured, my inability to color within the lines is most definitely not due to any constraint they might impose on unbridled artistic genius. Besides I have it on good authority, Mrs. Hoffman, 1st grade, that it is because I care less than the other little darlings. Says so on my report card. So when you see some guy on the news after a 'postal' incident hobbling away in cuffs on the outsides of his feet you will know both who and why!

goodness, and they're after you right here on this board!

carole, you keep on sticking up for those lines. i don't want any creature to be lonely.

(by the way, suzanne, although i get fresh about lines, i love all those colors--crayons, people, whatever!)

I even try to stay between them when I park! In the morning at 5:55 AM, I'm usually one of the first in the huge parking lot at my work. But I will back up and try again several times before I'm satisfied that my car is nicely between the lines!

My report card never said anything bad about lines. It usually said that I wasn't paying attention though I was getting the work done. LOL

You can't fool me! The drive to leave the secure confines of the lines, just has to be do to an energetic inner artistic genius, struggling for self expression! :)

Colors are pretty either inside or outside the lines! :)

No, he's probably too busy making sure all those zeros after his fee, fit between the lines defining the 'balance due' column of his statements! ;)

Honest I am not the Green River killer. But I understand there is an opening.
